Environmentally friendly and effective seabed cleanup

During winter 2024 we were involved in an exciting project in collaboration with Oslo municipality. Our mission involves cleaning up litter on the seabed of Inner Oslo Fjord. Through thorough and targeted efforts, we are contributing to ensuring cleaner and healthier marine environments for both the local community and future generations.
Our dedicated efforts are aimed at maintaining and preserving the natural ecosystem of the fjord while also contributing to creating a more sustainable and environmentally friendly city.
"OceanFront has made an impressive effort during our cleanup campaign in the inner Oslofjord, where over 100,000 kilos of marine waste, including 1,001 car tires, were removed. Using their self-developed concept, Natural Seabed, they have effectively cleaned the seabed and contributed to protecting the fjord's ecosystem. OceanFront's technology and dedication have been crucial to the project's success, in collaboration with Oslo Municipality, Oslo Port, and the Retailers' Environment Fund. This project marks an important step toward a cleaner and more sustainable Oslofjord."

The Renere Havn Bergen project was conducted under the City's Environmental Agency in Bergen Municipality, in collaboration with the Norwegian Environment Agency.
The primary objective is to prevent the dissemination of environmental toxins from a polluted seabed and restore a healthy marine ecosystem. All significant debris has been removed from the seabed to prevent potential pollution, as the entire seabed will be covered with clean sand to isolate existing pollutants effectively.
The collaboration with OceanFront has been highly successful, marked by transparency and consistent communication throughout the project.
Additionally, OceanFront has developed a system for registering and logging debris, ensuring a comprehensive overview and knowledge repository upon the project's completion.

We hired OceanFront to clear the inner harbor in Kristiansund of old fenders (truck tires). The project was highly successful, and the catch was substantial.
Most of the fenders are slated for reuse.
Planning, execution, HSE, evaluation/learning, and reporting worked excellently.
